This guide covers everything you need to get the Rubriq Word Add-in installed and ready to use.
Rubriq for Microsoft word is compatible with the following versions of Microsoft Word:
· Word 2016 or later on Windows
· Word 2016 or later on Mac
· Word on Mac (Microsoft 365)
· Word on Windows (Microsoft 365)
· Word on the web
The quickest way to add Rubriq if you already have Microsoft Word open.
1. Open the document you want to work on.
2. In the top menu, go to Home → Add-ins.
3. In the search bar, type Rubriq and press Enter.
4. When Rubriq appears in the results, select Add.
5. Once installed, the Rubriq add-in will appear in your Word toolbar. Select it to open the add-in panel.
6. Sign in with your Rubriq account credentials to get started.
You can also add Rubriq directly from the Microsoft AppSource marketplace.
1. Go to the Rubriq page on Microsoft AppSource.
2. Select Get it now. If prompted, sign in with your Microsoft account to authorise the installation.
3. Open Microsoft Word. The Rubriq add-in will appear in your toolbar.
4. Select the Rubriq add-in to open the panel, then sign in with your Rubriq account credentials.
Note: Your Microsoft account and your Rubriq account are separate. AppSource uses your Microsoft account to authorise the installation, you then sign into Rubriq separately inside the add-in.
To remove Rubriq from Word:
1. In the top menu, go to Home → Add-ins.
2. Select More Add-ins.
3. Go to the My Add-ins tab.
4. Find Rubriq for Microsoft Word, right-click it, and select Remove.
Note: The exact steps for removal may vary depending on your version of Word. If the above does not work, refer to Microsoft's documentation for your version.
Once the add-in is installed and you are signed in:
• Submit manuscripts for editing or translation directly within Word, without switching to another tool.
• Tracked changes from Rubriq will appear in your document using Word's familiar interface.
• The Recent tab in the add-in panel shows your processed documents. Files are available for 72 hours after processing, then permanently deleted from Rubriq's systems. Download your document promptly once it is ready.
