Can I sign into Microsoft AppSource with my Rubriq account?
No. Microsoft AppSource requires a Microsoft account to install add-ins. If you are not already signed in, AppSource will prompt you to sign in with your Microsoft credentials before the add-in is installed.
Once installed, open the Rubriq add-in panel in Word and sign in separately with your Rubriq account. The two accounts are not linked.
Why am I seeing “Unsupported Office Version”?
The Rubriq Word Add-in is compatible with:
Word 2016 or later on Windows
Word 2016 or later on Mac
Word on Mac (Microsoft 365)
Word on Windows (Microsoft 365)
Word on the web
If you are seeing this error, work through the following options in order:
Option 1: Upgrade Word and Microsoft Edge
Upgrade to a supported version of Word and ensure you have the latest Chromium version of Microsoft Edge installed. To check whether Edge is updating automatically, follow Microsoft's Edge update settings instructions.
Option 2: Use Word Online
If you have a supported version of Word and the latest Chromium Edge but are still seeing the error, try reinstalling the Rubriq add-in for Word Online. Note that Word Online requires a Microsoft 365 subscription.
Note: Some legacy versions of Word use Internet Explorer as their underlying browser even when Chromium Edge is installed on the same machine. This is a known Microsoft issue. If this applies to you, use Option 2 or Option 3.
Option 3: Use Rubriq on the web
If neither option above works, all Rubriq features are available through your workspace on the Rubriq website, no Word add-in required.
What happens to my documents after they are processed?
Processed documents appear in the Recent tab of the Rubriq Word Add-in for 72 hours. During this time, only you can access them.
After 72 hours, documents are permanently and automatically deleted from Rubriq's systems. No action is needed on your part. We recommend downloading your processed document as soon as it is ready if you need to keep a copy.
Do I need a new Rubriq account to use the Word Add-in?
No. The Rubriq Word Add-in is included in your existing Rubriq plan at no extra cost. Install the add-in and sign in with your existing Rubriq account credentials.
